Handbike’s Giro d’Italia has arrived in San Marino for the first time. The prestigious event, on his fourth edition and with a success that is rapidly growing, will stop over in the Republic on Sunday 18th August.
Handbike’s fourth Giro d’Italia’s stops are nine overall. It started on Sunday 17th March in Rome, on the same day as the 19th edition of the Capitolina Marathon, where Alex Zanardi (London Paralympics champion) shone for the third time in a row, also becoming the first Pink T-shirt (Maglia Rosa) 2013 in the men’s general classification.
Other simbolyc t-shirts of the Giro – White for the winner of the Points Classification and Black, for the last cyclist of every race – will be assigned from the second stop-over, which will take place in Cuneo on April 27th. Overall there are 8 categories: 4 for men, 4 for women. The Pink T-shirt will be given to the leader of every category.
