The Best Western Palace Hotel is composed by two different structures: one for the Conference Centre and the other one for the Hotel.
The Hotel covers 3 floors connected by three lifts, from the basement floor (-2) to the 3rd floor (80x110x140cm and 88x139x150cm), with visual signal upon arrival at each floor and an internal raised button panel in Braille, except for the alarm button.
The wide entrance has two automatic sliding doors and an external bell (not signposted) at 131cm from the ground.
On the ground floor, all the rooms are connected by unimpeded ways: the reception, with a 119cm high desk, the bar, with a 97cm high cash register and counter, the breakfast room, furnished with square tables having a central leg and 70cm of space underneath, and the large restaurant room, furnished with square and round tables with side legs and 70cm of space underneath. The buffet table used for breakfast, salads and cold dishes from the restaurant is 84cm high.
Upon previous request, the cook can prepare specific menus for celiac people, vegetarians and intolerants. The restaurant is also open to clients who are not accommodated at the hotel.
On the same floor is the “Arengo” meeting room, which can seat 20 people. It is furnished with TV screen, telephone and DVD and it can be used also for private lunches. The table has 70cm of space underneath.
Next to the bar and the restaurant room there is an accessible toilet with an 87cm large door, a 50cm high floor-mounted WC with front opening and front and left access. Equipped with water spout and handrail foldable to the left.
The Hotel has 91 rooms on 3 floors, 6 of them being accessible.
The accessible rooms are all double rooms with moving beds at a height ranging from 56 to 60cm, which can be approached from either side, except for the one in room No. 214, which can be approached only from the right (61cm wide space).
The toilets of rooms No. 132, 136 and 153 have floor-mounted WCs with front 50cm high openings and front access. The toilets of rooms No. 132 and 136 have left access while the one in room No. 153 has right access. All three have a handrail on the left while room No. 136 has also a handrail on the right.
Rooms No. 214, 311 and 312 have WCs with front and lateral access: on the right in No. 214 and 311, on the left in No. 312.
They all have floor-mounted showers with 90cm high boxes (completely openable) and foldable seats.
Rooms 132, 136 and 138 have a wide terrace with a 4cm high threshold, while in room No.153 there is an 8cm high step.
Room No.138, a double or triple bedroom, is furnished with a bed which can be approached on three sides but it has a small and not accessible toilet: the door is 68cm large, the suspended WC is 49cm high with front and right access but without handrails. There are a bidet and a shower with a rigid box with a 42cm large door and a 9cm high step.
Also Junior Suite No. 201 has a not accessible toilet: the door is 68cm large, the suspended WC is 68cm high with front access, the bidet and the shower with a Jacuzzi and a box with a 59cm large door and a 31cm high step.
Each room is equipped with safe, air-conditioning, fridge, telephone and television.
On the 1st floor there is an accessible toilet with water spout and handrails. It is in front of the Function-Room (with approximately 20 seats) and the Guaita Room (with approximately 70 seats), connected to each other.
On the same floor are also the gym and the wellness room with a relaxing area equipped with 34cm high massage tables, an 81cm high herbal tea counter, steam bath and sauna, with a 15cm high step, and multi-sensory showers.
On the 2nd floor there are 2 meeting rooms named Cesta and Montale.
In addition, from this floor you can reach the swimming pool climbing an external ramp with a 14% gradient, while climbing other 3 staircases (8% + 12% + 14%) you can reach the roof garden with an American bar, sun beds and seats.
The Hotel and the Conference Centre are connected by the lift on the 1st floor of the conference area.
The Conference Centre has a wide entrance on the 1st floor with a 88cm hinged door and a reception area, with a 105cm high desk, which can be used also as a ticket office or a wardrobe.
On the ground floor, each room is connected to the others by unimpeded ways: the reception, the Augustan Room, which can seat 50 people, the Tiberius Room (20 people), the Cleopatra Room (130 people) an the Caesar Room, with a stage with 6 steps of 18cm each, which can be used, along with the Cleopatra Room, to seat up to 800 people on a flat area.
The wide restaurant room is furnished with round tables having 70cm of space underneath.
The two accessible toilets have a 49cm high floor-mounted WC with front opening. Front and right access in ladies’ toilet and front access in gentlemen’s toilet. Left handrail and suspended washbasin with 68cm of space underneath.
On the 1st floor, there is an exhibition room of 200sqm and two symmetrical accessible toilets, one for the ladies and the other one for the gentlemen, with 49cm high floor-mounted WCs with front opening and front and side access. Foldable handrail and suspended washbasin with 68cm of space underneath.
On the basement floors (-1) and (-2), there is an indoor garage closed by a bar. Next to the entrance of the Hotel there are two parking lots for people to get on and out of vehicles.
