Palazzo Valloni is located in the Old Town Centre of San Marino, in Contrada Omerelli no. 13. Inside, are the State Library and Archives and the room where Their Excellencies the Captains Regent welcome the authorities at the end of the ceremony for their investiture.
Palazzo Valloni covers 4 floors connected by stairs and a lift (74x77x127) with a raised Braille button panel at a maximum height of 134 cm with an acoustic signal upon arrival at each floor.
At the entrance there is a stone ramp (37x252) with a 35% gradient.
At the main entrance, equipped with a 72 cm wide hinged door, there is also a free-of-charge coat rack. The narrowest point is 54 cm wide.
On the basement floor (-1) is the reception, equipped with a 73 cm high desk, and 5 reading rooms with doors narrower than 65 cm and furnished with tables with side legs and 67 cm of space underneath.
On the basement floor (-2) is a photocopying room and an equipped toilet. The wall-mounted WC is 47 cm high with front or right access and handrails on both sides. The basin is wall-mounted. On the same floor, after a 10 cm high step, there is also a small room with chairs and vending machines with drinks and snacks.
On the first floor is the room used by Their Excellencies the Captains Regent to welcome their guests on April 1st and October 1st and the State Archives. To reach the latter it is necessary to walk through the aforementioned room (usually not open to the public) where are two steps of 18 cm in height each.
Direct access to the State Archives is possible only climbing the stairs.
The Library is open every day from 8:20 to 18:00. Closed on Saturdays and Sundays.
