The history of the restaurant Righi keeps up with that of the ancient building which has always housed it. In the past, it has been an inn for many years then, from the second half of the 20th century, the rooms on the first floor became a restaurant thanks to the coking ability of Mrs. Maria Righi.
She is the author of the thirty-year-old success of the restaurant due to the priceless teaching she received from her mother and her mother-in-law. In fact, their recipes have been carefully kept and handed down until nowadays as the precious basis of a cuisine culture which evolves coherently with tradition.
An accurate restyling has given new freshness to the hall and the restaurant room in accordance with a modern cooking style yet in line with continuity. Thanks to all this, the restaurant has gained a Michelin star.
The chef Luigi Sartini, together with the owners, has developed a project which creates a bridge between past and present based on the research of formulas able to communicate contemporary concepts and new emotions.
Moreover, the restaurant has a room furnished as an inn where clients can live ancient memories and breath history in a cosy place where simple and genuine food is the leitmotif linking past and present.
